What We Like
What We Don't Like
Kaabo is a Chinese brand that offers a wide range of electric scooters. The brand is betting on versatility with its Kaabo Wolf Warrior 11. It is tackling the high-performance electric scooter segment which was so far, dominated by the Korean brand Dualtron.
In this Kaabo Wolf Warrior 11 review, we will introduce this powerful scooter that provides several significant advantages, and has nothing to envy its rivals!
Introducing the Kaabo Wolf Warrior 11 electric scooter
The Wolf Warrior 11 is the flagship of the Kaabo brand. It comes in two foldable versions: a basic version (26 Ah) and a sporty Wolf Warrior 11+, version (35 Ah). To start with this Kaabo Wolf Warrior 11 review, let's take a look at the contents of the box.
The electric scooter is delivered almost assembled in a rigid cardboard box measuring 63 inches long, 13 inches wide, and 20 inches high. Just unfold it and attach the adjustable T-bar handlebar, and it's ready to go.
The packing box also includes a 1.75A charger, a cable, and a user manual. In its unfolded position, the Wolf Warrior 11 is 49.2 inches long, 246 inches wide, and 49.2 inches high. In the folded position, it is 59 inches long, 11 inches wide, and 19 inches high.
Components from Minimotors
The LCD display screen (EY3), the throttle, and the control buttons on the right grip are provided by Korean manufacturer "Minimotors"(the parent company of the Dualtron brand). The spare parts for the Wolf Warrior 11 are therefore easy to find, since Minimotors is also a major supplier of aftermarket parts for electric scooters.
The handles are made of soft plastic and are designed to accommodate additional mirrors or turn signals. The lighting system includes a double LED headlight in the front, a LED headlight in the rear, a brake light, position LEDs, and decorative LEDs on both lateral sides of the deck.
The headlight and horn control buttons are located on the left handle. The control button for position LEDs and decorative LEDs is located under the left side of the deck. On the handlebars there is enough room to attach a phone mount or an action camera mount.
Although the hydraulic brake and accelerator cables are visible, they are easy to disconnect, especially if you need to change them. In addition, the folding system is simple and easy to handle. It has a safety mechanism that keeps the locking lever in the desired position (folded or unfolded).
Kaabo Wolf Warrior 11 Review 2020
Design and Structure
Robust, compact, and elegant, these are the terms that best define the Kaabo Wolf Warrior 11 electric scooter! Style-wise, it features a minimalist design that highlights the rigidity of its frame and the ergonomic aspect of the various controls. This does not prevent it from being equipped with the latest technologies in electric micro-mobility.
Featuring a 6082-T6 forged aluminum alloy frame, the Kaabo Wolf Warrior 11 weights approximately 101 lbs. Compared to the Thunder which weighs around 95 lbs, this weight is reasonable for a high performance scooter equipped with a high performance battery and two powerful motors.
In addition, the Wolf Warrior 11 can support a maximum load of 330 lbs, which once again demonstrates the strength of its aluminum frame.
Kaabo Wolf Warrior 11 Motor
Just like the Dualtron Thunder, its direct competitor, the Kaabo Wolf Warrior 11 is powered by two brushless electric motors (60 V 1200 W x 2). Manufactured in Germany, these motors are integrated into the wheels and deliver a maximum peak power of 5400 W (5.4 kW or 7.3 hp).
The motor power available is strong enough to propel the Kaabo electric scooter at a speed of 50 mph. Fans of strong sensations will be delighted!
The Wolf Warrior 11 offers several setting possibilities. For example, you can adjust the power of both engines by choosing between 2 driving modes: Eco and Turbo. You can also choose to drive with a single engine (Single mode) or with both engines (Dual mode).
By pressing the "Mode" button located to the right of the display screen, you can also choose between 3 speed levels: L1 (slow speed), L2 (medium speed), and L3 (fast speed). Note that the accelerator cables are integrated into the frame, which reduces the risk of damage in the event of a fall.
Range of the Kaabo Wolf Warrior 11 electric scooter
With a 60V-26 Ah lithium-ion battery, the Wolf Warrior 11 features is expected to travel up to 60 miles in Single mode, and up to 43 miles in Dual mode with one single charge.
These values remain theoretical, because the actual autonomy depends on several factors such as the weight of the user, the ambient temperature, or the type of route (flat road, off-road, steep road, etc.).
The Wolf Warrior 11 Plus version is equipped with a more powerful battery (60V-35 Ah) offering a range of 70 miles in Single mode and 55 miles in Dual mode.
Just like the Dualtron Thunder, the Wolf Warrior 11 has two charging ports (three-pin) located under the front left portion of the deck. For a full charge, it takes 10 to 14 hours with a single charger and around 7 hours with two 1.5A chargers. You can also buy a 5A fast charger to further reduce charging time.
Wheels, suspension, and brake system
The Wolf Warrior 11 is offers two types of 11-inch tubeless tires: urban and off-road. Its suspension system is similar to that of motorcycles, it is equipped with a telescopic fork, two hydraulic shock absorbers at the front, and two shock absorbers with suspension springs at the rear.
Like any self-respecting electric scooters, it is equipped with an ABS hydraulic disc brake system at the front and rear. The discs are not mounted on the same side as the throttle cables, which makes it easier to maintain and repair the brake system. For example, to remove a brake disc, you only need to remove the wheel and then unscrew the disc fixing screws.
Kaabo Wolf Warrior 11 Road Test
On the road, the Wolf Warrior 11 is impressive because of its stability and drivability. The deck, which is covered with a non-slip coating, is quite wide. This allows for a comfortable riding position.
Thanks to the driving force generated by both electric motors, the Wolf Warrior 11 manages to quickly reach its top speed and climb gradients of up to 35 ° for the basic version, and 45 ° for the Wolf Warrior 11 Plus version. .
In addition, with a ground clearance of 20 cm and 11-inch tires, it can easily overcome obstacles and roll efficiently in the off-road environment. Although the suspension system is not adjustable, it is effective whether in urban or off-road environments.
And cherry on the cake: the Wolf Warrior 11 also features with a cruise control! Don't forget to wear an electric scooter helmet whe riding this beast 😉
